Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)
RSHE is set in the context of our wider whole-school approach to supporting pupils to be safe, happy and prepared for life beyond school. RSHE is a vital component of our wider skills curriculum, promoting the development of healthy relationships, personal well-being, and understanding of self and others.
Our RSHE curriculum:
-
Is delivered through developmentally appropriate lessons adapted to meet the specific needs and abilities of students

- Supports students to develop their understanding of appropriate and meaningful relationships, including friendships, family relationships, and personal boundaries
- Teaches pupils about personal safety, including online safety, recognising unsafe situations, and knowing who to ask for help
- Promotes understanding of physical and emotional changes, presented in age-appropriate ways
- Addresses consent and personal autonomy, helping pupils understand their right to say no and respecting others' boundaries
- Complements and is supported by our wider school policies on behaviour, inclusion, safeguarding, and anti-bullying
