Reyo Paddock School, Ghana
Paddock School support Reyo Paddock School in Ghana, which was opened officially in May 2014, by our previous Headteacher Peggy Walpole.
We continue to support the school by carrying out various fundraising activities and by members of our teaching and therapy staff have in the past gone to Ghana during the school holidays as volunteers to help carry out staff training.
In 2015, two members of staff at Paddock Secondary School fundraised for Reyo, by taking part in a 480km cycle race from Vietnam's Capital (Ho Chi Minh) to Cambodia's famous Siem Reap. Each day brought on a new challenge as they travelled the 50-60 miles to get to the next check point.
The money raised went directly towards providing the children with vital resources and playground equipment to allow them to have the opportunities and support that our children here in the UK have.
We continue to be proud of how well Paddock Reyo School is doing and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
